CURRICULUM

The children at Cherry Blossom School are spending their time in a multicultural setting in order to develop a sense of respect and appreciation for other cultures and people. In addition to learning Japanese, children have the opportunity to learn Japanese songs, games, stories, and Japanese culture. We mainly teach our students in Japanese with English support if the child needs. We teach reading and writing Hiragana and Katakana for preschool aged children. The children are encouraged to be independent and learn important skills such as socializing, sharing, and toilet training. We promote early literacy with activities and book reading.

The children will be exposed to many activities including outside play in a private, safe and secure natural setting, arts, crafts, music, dance, general learning and group activities. We also provide organic snacks and diapers. The children will play and learn in clean, modern, indoor play spaces and an outdoor play area with padded flooring, safe play structures and a touch-and-grow organic garden.
